Computer criminals are smart, as are their tools. One of those tools is a keylogger, that they use to steal your personal data. A keylogger often looks like a USB drive. They stick it in the computer, after which they can track your every move. This ranges from keystrokes to incoming and outgoing email, and documents you created or opened. The type of people that use a keylogger may surprise you. See it as a form of digital vandalism. A form that can result in serious (privacy) damage.
Do not take any risk
Are you working on a public computer? Or on someone else’s mobile device? Is there a USB drive connected to it? Always remove it before you start. Is it a NHL Stenden device? Then report it via NHL Stenden’s Hotline for Data Breaches too.
